The Board were delighted to have received expressions of interest from Anthony Haskell and Brett Crosby, with both providing high-quality experience and qualifications.
Anthony has been a member of the Club since 2009 and has extensive Director’s experience, having sat on several boards in education and other outside organisations. He is currently a member of the Teachers Registration Board of SA and sits on the Risk and Audit Sub-committee and the Admissions Sub-committee of the Board. Anthony is also the Vice-President of the Independent Education Union of SA. The Board look forward to working with Anthony and leveraging his experience. As an amateur golfer, Anthony was a highly talented golfer, securing a place in the US college system before an injury ruined his opportunity to pursue a playing career.
Brett has been a member of the club since 1984, joining when he was 12, and has a significant amount of club and golf industry experience, with an impressive amateur playing career that includes, and not limited to, a 4-time Club Champion, 1999 State Champion, SA representation on numerous occasions, and selection in the Australian Amateur squad in 1997. In business, Brett’s career is just as impressive, having worked for the PGA of Australia and as a sales representative for TaylorMade-Adidas and Acushnet Company (Titleist & Foot Joy). Further, Brett currently has his own business importing and distributing various sporting goods and event management.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, following much deliberation, I would like to advise that Anthony Haskell has been appointed to fill the Vice-Captain’s role. The Board would also like to sincerely thank Brett Crosby for his expression of interest and strongly encourage Brett to re-nominate when another opportunity arises.
